Join us for our first seed packing party of the season!

The Innisfil Seed Library is gearing up for its 9th season and we need your help. Drop in and join us in-person at the Lakeshore branch of the library in the Community Room to help pack and label seed envelopes for distribution. High school students looking for volunteer hours are welcome. It's a fun, informative gathering and no experience is needed!

What is a seed packing party?

• A volunteer drop-in gathering where we label and pack seeds into envelopes ready to be "borrowed"

• An informal opportunity to learn and socialize

How do I prepare?

• We need seeds! Donate vegetable, herb and flower seeds if you can or help pack our current donations

• Invite your friends!

• No experience necessary

The seed library reopens at Innisfil Seedy Saturday on Saturday, March 23rd. The seed library is a volunteer-run seed lending program in partnership with the Innisfil ideaLAB & Library with locations at the Cookstown and Lakeshore branches. During the growing season participants are invited to browse our selection of donated seeds, grow and enjoy them at home, and return some harvested or commercial seeds at the end of the season.
