Borrow seeds to grow!

Innisfil Seed Library reopens for its 4th season during the 3rd annual Innisfil Seedy Saturday on Saturday, March 30, 2019

Our mission is to distribute seeds widely to the community, including members and non-members of the library of all ages and gardening experience levels, and to educate our residents about how to properly save and return seeds to replenish the seed library year after year. We aim to further engage the community with a variety of complementary workshops and presentations throughout the growing season.

The Innisfil Seed Library is a volunteer-run program in partnership with the Innisfil ideaLAB & Library with locations at the Cookstown and Lakeshore Branches in Innisfil, Ontario, Canada. It's free to "borrow seeds to grow" and open to everyone during library hours during the growing season (typically March to September). Seasonal workshops and events happen throughout the growing season to help borrowers harvest and return viable seeds back to the seed library. The Innisfil Seed Library is made possible and sustainable by its partnership with the Innisfil ideaLAB & Library and the seed donations and volunteer time given by our wonderful community.
