Innisfil Seedy Saturday is an annual spring event held since 2017 at the Innisfil ideaLAB & Library, Lakeshore branch, in Innisfil, Ontario, and is hosted by the Innisfil Seed Library in partnership with the library and the Innisfil Garden Club.
Seedy Saturdays/Sundays are a phenomenon held across Canada typically from February to early April with the primary goal of making seeds available for free, to trade and for sale. These inspiring events also bring together likeminded people passionate about mindful gardening, food security and our environment.
Registration opens in January, and an invitation and approval by organizers are required to participate in Innisfil Seedy Saturday. We strive to host events that stay true to the spirit and mission of Seedy Saturdays/Sundays; therefore, our event is carefully curated to include and prioritize the following types of vendors and exhibitors:
Seed sellers:
producing organic seeds locally or in Ontario
offering unique, heirloom varieties
Businesses, groups & organizations:
supporting and educating about ecological gardening, wildlife & the environment
producing small-scale, handmade natural products
We do not accept:
multi-level marketing businesses
makers & craftspeople (inquire for exceptions)
