Learn to Grow & Save Seeds at Home
with Maria da Costa, Pollinator Gardens
Innisfil ideaLAB & Library, Lakeshore Branch
967 Innisfil Beach Road
All ages, registration required

Join Maria da Costa of Pollinator gardens for a free workshop on growing and saving seeds at home! Maria da Costa is passionate about growing organic food for her family as well as an assortment of flowers from seed at her pollinator-friendly property located near Bradford, ON.

Learn how to start your favourite vegetable garden plants and pollinator-attracting flowers from seed, including when to start them for the best harvest this season. Also learn the basics of seed saving at the end of the season, including when to harvest and how to properly clean and store your seeds for the following year. Seeds will be shared!

This workshop is part of the Innisfil Seed Library’s workshop series, which aims to teach people to grow and save seeds and encourages them to donate seeds back to the seed library.

SAVE-THE-DATE: Innisfil Seedy Saturday 2021 - Saturday, March 27, 2021

CANCELLED: Innisfil Seedy Saturday 2020

Many of the businesses and groups confirmed for the cancelled 4th Annual Innisfil Seedy Saturday, due to precautionary measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, have worked hard to prepare and rely on events like ours this time of year. As such the list of participants will remain on our social media platforms and website this season, and I encourage you to reach out to them to see if they are able to safely deliver their products at this time.
